ON BEING A MODEL......'NKEM OKORAFOR'

I remember the first time I met Nkem, I was serving in Calabar, just started my journey to find out what I wanted House of ZETA to be, only thing I was sure of was the name, anyways, back to Nkem, she had this black coat on and I must say without the introduction of our mutual friend I thought to myself 'That's one bad ass model' and when we got to speaking I was glad she had the brains to back up that look. Am I glad to interview her on here? 'TOTALLY' Its not so much of an insight into her life, but its an insight into modelling from her perspective. Did I mention that she's the Face Of Music Meets Runway 2012....dope yh? Hope you enjoy her interview like I do.

HELLO NKEM,INTRODUCE YOURSELF?
Hi my name is Nkem Okorafor, I'm 22 years old and I'm a model. I've taken part in a lot of fashion shows in Nigeria and a few outside Nigeria. I love my job and I enjoy having fun with it.

WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO BECOME A MODEL?
Truthfully I was motivated because it was challenging. Having that perfect body, face and posture at all times.

HOW WAS YOUR FIRST AUDITION?
My first audition was actually a very interesting story. I had a big argument with a creative director for this show (name withheld) and then he called me up and asked me to come for the audition, then asked me to do a very difficult routine, with the hopes that I'd screw up, well.... I didn't, so I got the job.

Its a great feeling. Lots of love and encouragement.

She's a helluva model and a hardworker. You've got to love her, would have said you should watch out for her but she owns the scene already.
