BREAKING BAD

Title stolen from the series I never got to watch, but you've got to admit, its one catchy name. So what comes to mind asides the series? Well...........time to tell you a little something something about breaking bad in my own terms, its hard to practice but easy to understand. Breaking bad is basically how we find our moral grounds when society gives us a thousand reasons not to. I asked my Reverend Father a whilr back and it took him a while to think about it but when he finally spoke he gave me the first point which I listed in my 'THREE WAYS TO BREAK EVEN'

• NEVER COMPROMISE YOUR VALUES
Daily we are faced with choosing between good and bad, to fit in or to stand out, to attain respect among our peers and to become popular, the decisions we make define us and some times our values are compromised, we drop what we believe in and lose focus on who we set out to be. As I like to say "If you don't know what you stand for at least know where you're standing".

• HAVE A STANDARD
This is essential to every facet of your life, you have to have a standard in your personal, business and social life. People and associates would trample on you if they know that you have no standard. It makes you a formidable force to reckon with and though people might not appreciate your standard, they'd respect it and respect you.

• IDENTIFY WITH THE 'YOU' YOU'RE SCARED OF SHOWING THE WORLD
Someone once told me "You are who you are behind closed doors" and I believe that quote a hundred percent. We need to stop pretending to be what society wants us to be, it is easier said than done, but with patience and grace we can achieve that. Identify with who you really are and if you feel that society would not accept you then remember that society keeps on chaging and you might be the one responsible for that change.

We weren't born to be goody-two-shoes.....well not all of us....but we can try to have a little bit of good in us. Asides the 'THREE WAYS TO BREAK EVEN' we should try and be honest, brave, kind and selfless whrn making decisions, maybe we can break even........I mean bad!
